The paper surveys the grammatical terminology used in the anonymous treatise De verbo from manuscript Paris, BnF, latin 7491, fol. 89ra-207va. This study highlights the sources of the treatise, from Donatus to Isidore of Sevilla, the close relationship of the De verbo to pre-Carolingian Insular grammars, and the redactor of the opuscule’s careful collecting and motivating of the technical vocabulary.
